In Pieces

I am taking a trip to Florida in a few weeks, which means sun and the beach! This also means–bathing suit. For a girl who grew up so close to the ocean, I only have one old two-piece from American Eagle to my name. I think I bought it some time during high school–that’s how old it is. And though it’s 85 degrees and sunny today in Boston, that could (and will) change any moment, and working full-time leaves precious few days to lay on the beach. So, it doesn’t make a lot of sense to invest in a new suit. However, I am somewhat intrigued by the trend of one-piece suits I’ve been seeing everywhere, although I prefer two-pieces for comfort, and I fear I will only be able to wear them for a few more years anyway, so why not enjoy the bikini while I can?

Here are a few one-pieces that fit my budget:

Tank Suits

From top, l-r:

Merona strapless embroidered one-piece: $35 {Target}

Old Navy navy paisley halter suit: $29.50

Liberty of London strapless one-piece: $35 {Target}

Old Navy ruffled suit: $29.50

American Apparel two-tone suit: $36

What do you guys think of the one-piece trend? Do you like any of these?

    I kind of LOVE that black ruffled number. Also, I’m a fan of the one-piece. Not just because my stomach is no longer flat, but because I can do a lower cut neckline and I don’t have to worry about anything falling off in the waves. :)

    I too love the ruffled one from Old Navy as well as the paisley one. The problem I always have with one pieces is they are always too short for my big long torso. But, since you’re petite it shouldn’t be an issue for you! Good luck!
