Most books are written to be read. But there are exceptions to that rule–some books are made just to sit on your coffee table and be objectified. I pulled a few of my favorite covers from a list of “the 50 most beautiful and brilliant books for your coffee table” and listed them below. Wouldn’t you like to put any of these books on display in your living room?

Chanel: Collections and Creations

The Jazz Loft Project

The Music Book

Gems and Gemstones

Performance: Richard Avedon

My favorite coffee table books are “The Smaller Majority” and the National Geographic Atlas of the World.

Have you ever seen the Kelly Wearstler books? I especially love having Modern Glamour out on the table, and flipping through it in a spare minute or two. Inspires the creative juices :)

I have Journeys of a Lifetime. I love all of National Geographic’s photo books (er, coffee table books).
