Labor Day Date Night
The weather is starting to turn, but I’m still firmly entrenched in the world of sundresses, bare legs, and sandals. Because I spent much of Labor Day weekend in Rhode Island for a friend’s bridal shower, Joe and I went on a date night on Monday night when I returned–we got ice cream for dinner (at Sweet Melissa’s Cremerie) and then went to see Scott Pilgrim vs. The World. The date was very casual, but I wanted to take it beyond the t-shirts and cutoffs I’d been wearing all weekend, so I wore this almost-maxi dress with pretty flat sandals and a homemade necklace my mom gave me when I was visiting.
*dress: Gap– sandals: Madden Girl — necklace: Fancys by Nancy (my mom)*
I still haven’t gotten the hang of how to pose for pictures of myself–I don’t know how all the daily style bloggers do it every day! I just end up fidgeting and giggling the whole time.
This weekend, we managed to get a lot done for the apartment, including finally ordering a couch!! Pictures to come, so stay tuned for more apartment decorating posts. I also attended my first yoga class in Brooklyn and wandered around the Brooklyn Book Festival (in the rain–more to come on that this week as well). What did you all do this weekend?
