It was a completely gorgeous fall weekend in New York–the only thing wrong with it was it was much too short! It’s been more than three months since I’ve gotten my hair cut and colored, so I decided it was finally time to find a salon here. Luckily, I found a great place just two blocks from my apartment–pretty reasonably priced (at least in terms of New York prices) and my stylist was really friendly. The color came out slightly less dramatic than I usually like, but it’s even and looks like it’s going to last. Also, I requested side-swept bangs, and got what I asked for! They don’t quite hang the way I dream about, but I’ll take what I can get.
During my lunch break today, I’m heading back to the Warby Parker showroom to see if I can pick out a new pair of frames. I’m really sad because I love these frames, but I think the frames are just too heavy for my face. They keep slipping down my nose, and they’re driving me crazy. Luckily, Warby Parker has a fantastic return policy, and they’ve been nothing but helpful when I’ve called them. (I took my frames to Lens Crafters last week to get them adjusted, and they were also really nice and did it free of charge, even though I didn’t buy the glasses there! Sadly, the adjustment didn’t quite work.)
I don’t have my camera with me, so I can’t solicit votes, but I don’t think you guys would trust me anyway, after I blatantly disregarded all your comments last time. I guess it serves me right that the frames I love didn’t work out for me!
