To Infinity and Beyond

2010 December 14
by Jill

The snow finally started to fall last night when Joe and I were on our way to meet a friend for drinks in our neighborhood. By the time we left the bar, the ground was covered in a glittering white dust and the flakes were still blowing furiously in the bitter cold. Don’t get me wrong–it was really pretty, but I was ecstatic to hole up in the apartment all day in my pajamas today and not have to deal with the 20 degree freeze and icy sidewalks.

The frigid temps and cutting wind have me contemplating some new winter gear: hats, gloves, and scarves, though I still have a bag in storage that I need to get out this week. Have you guys seen these infinity scarves?  I have to admit–I’m intrigued. They look really warm, and they solve the constant “how to tie for optimal style and warmth” conundrum. Here are a few I wouldn’t mind pulling on to ward off the December chills:

I got a circular/eternal/closed scarf at H&M in October, and I love it! Looped twice, it instantly looks like I arranged it to be stylish. Easy peasy. I’m in disbelief that it hasn’t snowed in Boston yet. Allegedly there have been flurries, but none that I’ve seen. Stay warm! :)

I think I might try to make one of these infinity scarves! Once I finish these never ending seminar papers…..
