Fashion Book: Little Women–Amy

2011 March 17
by Jill

Amy is the youngest of the March sisters, and she fits very well into the “baby of the family” stereotype: she’s spoiled, she’s vain, and she’s silly. She ultimately ends up with Laurie, the boy next door, so she must have SOME redeeming qualities…right?

I thought Amy would wear something sexy, flashy, bold, and trendy. She wants to get noticed wherever she goes, and this sequined mini dress, stiletto Louboutins, and electric blue clutch would definitely do the job.

And we have a bonus Amy treat! Thanks for the tip, Katie!

I actually never read this, but for better or worse, I suspect my namesake character and I (also the spoiled baby sister of the family) would get along famously. šŸ˜‰ I’m all over that top AND those shoes!

Thanks for including the link to the Amy shirt! They’ve been discussing Little Women on Tomato Nation (the blog that’s selling the shirt) lately, too. I’ve enjoyed this whole series of Little Women posts. It’s making me want to reread Little Women- when I was nine, my grandmother gave me the copy she had when she was a girl.

Have you read March by Geraldine Brooks?

Love and covet every piece you featured here, despite the fact that I am the oldest in the family!
