Weekend Rewind 3/18-3/20
When I asked for feedback on my blog a month or two ago, several of you said you wanted more personal stuff, and more about life in New York. Hence, the Weekend Recap, which I’ll try to do each Monday with a few images from my weekend.
This weekend, I was flying solo because Joe is on a camping trip with friends in Joshua Tree National Park in California. I had wanted to get out and do a few more fun things, like visit the Met’s Costume Institute, but I was too busy running errands and cleaning up the apartment today. Life in the fast lane, really.
Friday after work, a few coworkers and I headed to Bookmarks Lounge, in the Library Hotel, a spot I’ve been meaning to check out for months. It felt like summer on Friday, so the rooftop bar was full, but we sat in the glassed-in lounge, which was still enjoyable.
Saturday morning breakfast (a Peter Pan donut) and some light reading
On Saturday, I got a haircut. I didn’t touch up my color because NYC is too damn expensive, but I don’t think I can say goodbye to my red hair yet, so I might take another trip to the salon just for color next month.
Saturday night, I went with some friends to see the new adaptation of Jane Eyre, followed by beers in the Lower East Side. It’s been years and years since I read the book, but I really liked the movie a lot–it was a great adaptation.
How were your weekends?
