Best of the Looks, Best of the Books 9/2/11

Even though I haven’t been posting regularly for the past few weeks, I’ve found myself pinning, starring, and emailing myself links out of habit for the BotLBotB posts…old habits die hard! So it’s with pleasure that I dive back into the weekly feature.

Best of the Looks

I got to go to a taping of the Late Show with David Letterman this week, and Julianna Marguiles was the guest–isn’t her outfit beautiful?

An awesome hair tutorial on how to curl your hair using…socks!

This zipper bracelet spotted on Archives Vintage is pretty spectacular.

Once upon a time, Michael Jackson knew how to dress.

I bought these boots this week–I’m excited to wear them!

And back on the hair topic…a month of hair calendar!

Best of the Books

What are your plans for the Labor Day weekend? I’m heading up to the Hudson Valley to visit with friends, go hiking with Chief, and have a fun barbecue. Hope you all have fun and relaxing weekends soaking up the remnants of summer!

I envy you those boots! You know my boot woes… perhaps this will be the year I finally get some that FIT! That zipper bracelet is pretty excellent too!

I hope you have a fab, fun weekend. I will be continuing practicing walking, weeee! I think I’m going to brunch on Sunday, too. Ah, the joys of restored mobility!

I love that closet library. That’s something I could actually do in my own house. I have a new career that doesn’t require that I work weekends (I used to be a nurse, now I reconfigure software) so I am having a proper holiday weekend at last. Our friend’s art show opened last night, so we went to that, and we have family in from out of town for the UVA/William & Mary game, so we all had dinner together. Today we’re going to a party in the country and tomorrow is the wedding of our friends–being celebrated in the park across the street from our house. Monday I will clean my house and knit.

    You have a good weekend.
