Tis the Season

2011 December 27

I’ve been missing, but I have a good excuse! On Friday morning, Joe and I got on a plane to San Francisco, where we met Joe’s family and drove to a house high in the hills of wine country, where we’re staying until the end of the week.

Napa is quite different in winter than it is in spring or summer, but it’s still absolutely lovely. The above picture was taken on a walk through the neighborhood at the foot of the hill where the house we’re renting is–just some vineyards nestled in among the houses. No big deal.

It’s been great to get out of the city for a while–everything is so quiet here and when you look up at the sky at night, there are stars. So many stars. I never see those in New York.

Anyway, long story short, posting won’t resume on a regular schedule (if I can call my posting regular) until next week, but there might be some posts snuck in there–you never know.

I hope you all have a wonderful holiday!

I haven’t taken many pictures this time around, actually. But I have all my pictures from my last two trips here when it was greener and prettier!
