Best of the Looks, Best of the Books 2/10/12
I’ve been a bad blogger. My creativity’s sapped, my days are busy, my motivation is low. I find myself wanting to blog but I just can’t seem to find the spark. Maybe it’s February, maybe it’s just where I seem to be in this moment. Of course, there are still things that inspire me, but I’m more apt to reblog on Tumblr or pin on Pinterest than think about it enough to write a full post. This is a stage all bloggers go through, and often. I know it will pass, but I just felt the need to write about it, even though it’s a poor excuse for not updating here in over a week.
Here’s a few things that have caught my eye this week, despite the general blogging malaise. I hope you all have a great weekend.
Best of the Looks:
I only started reading Pink Peonies this week, and already I’m thinking about stealing this outfit. All of it.
I’ve been obsessing over t-straps lately, and this pair by Naturalizer looks cute AND comfortable.
A great post on My Edit about the arbitrary nature of clothing sizes.
How to make your own surf spray at A Pretty Penny. I actually did this, and it worked pretty well on my hair. Thanks for the tip, Keira!
Best of the Books:
The Composites –a new blog that shows literary icons as drawn with police sketch technology.
Annie ruminates about the importance of professional editors.
I really love the literary mixtape feature at Flavorwire–this week, Jo March.
A fascinating piece on the epigraph.
