Top Ten List

2012 September 4

I stumbled on a new website today that lists the top ten books of famous writers–the lists are entertaining, and often surprising. It got me thinking, what would my list look like? So, I decided to put one together.

What’s on YOUR top ten list?

In no particular order:

  1. Fried Green Tomatoes at the Whistle Stop Cafe, Fannie Flagg
  2. Little Women, Louisa May Alcott
  3. The Bell Jar, Sylvia Plath
  4. To the Lighthouse, Virginia Woolf
  5. The Great Gatsby, F. Scott Fitzgerald
  6. The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier and Clay, Michael Chabon
  7. Middlesex, Jeffrey Eugenides
  8. Nine Stories, J.D. Salinger
  9. Housekeeping, Marilynne Robinson
  10. Leaves of Grass, Walt Whitman

Ten is nowhere near enough…
