Best of the Looks, Best of the Books 1/25/13
It’s been a long time since I’ve done one of these link roundups. I stopped mostly because I was afraid it wasn’t really original content, but now that I haven’t done one for a while, I find that I actually kind of miss them. What do you guys think? Do you like these posts?
Does anyone have fun plans for the weekend? It’s been so cold in the Northeast that my instinct is to hibernate!
Best of the Looks:
I gotta hand it to the Obama ladies–they looked gorgeous, all of them! Major props, ladies. (Image source)
I’d never heard of Alexandra Grecco before this week, but she’s got some gorgeous dresses available for discounted pre-order. I will take one of everything, please.
Sneak peek at Miuccia Prada’s dress designs for the upcoming Great Gatsby movie. I can’t wait!!
Also in love with Christian Dior’s Spring 2013 Couture collection.
Rubber flats–they sound weird, but in Kate Spade’s hands, they are adorable.
A great solution for that pile of shoes on my closet floor.
Not that I need another polka dot dress, but…..
Best of the Books:
A look at Edith Wharton’s New York
What happens when 16 fictional characters take the Myers-Briggs personality test
Really love this image.
10 Reasons why Poetry Is NOT Dead…because we all need a reminder sometimes
George Saunders’ preface to the new edition of CivilWarLand in Bad Decline (which I’ve just started reading) is inspiring and beautiful and true. Read it, especially if you’re a writer.
And above all, have an amazing weekend.

So glad to see the Best of Looks/Books back! You tend to find a lot of things I haven’t seen yet, so who cares if it’s not “original content?” It’s sharing cool stuff.
I love these roundups, and have missed them!
