Best of the Looks, Best of the Books 3/29/13

2013 March 29

The sun is shining today, so I got an iced coffee and a bagel on my way to work, and wore my “light” winter coat. I’m going home to RI with Joe and Chief for Easter and I’m pretty excited to take a drive and see my family and eat lots of yummy food. Also, I slept a full eight hours last night. In sum, today is shaping up to be a pretty good day!

Best of the Looks:

The belted blazer in Franziska’s look is so cute and flattering. I’m contemplating stealing it for myself!

Pearls & Paws has a great tip for scarf storage…that I will also be stealing!

I love Classy Girls Wear Pearls not only for her sense of style and her more than enviable closet, but also because the photography is excellent, and because she lives in Rhode Island, she features so many beautiful spots in my home state! (like this bridge in a park in my town)

A simple, sweet, and affordable white dress for summer.

Beautiful, perfect shoes…for my dreams.

Best of the Books:

An awesome print of the business cards of the high society who attend Gatsby’s parties in The Great Gatsby.

And, while we’re on the subject, another amazing print I’d love to hang on my walls.

Further proof that librarians are awesome.

Did you know that Sylvia Plath wrote a children’s book and it’s really cute?

Even famous authors were once awkward teenagers.

Happiest of weekends to you all!
