Best of the Looks, Best of the Books 9/6/13
I’m wearing jeans AND a blazer today–fall is definitely in the air! Hard to believe, actually. What are you planning for your post-Labor Day weekend?
Best of the Looks:
This look from Damsel in Dior reminds me of fall and back to school–the collared shirt under a sweater, the pretty dark green of the pencil skirt. I also love the leopard clutch paired with it.
I’m in the market for a basic black blazer, but I wouldn’t turn this contrast blazer from J. Crew down…
I love the bright colors in Chioma’s pretty floral skirt.
I just got a haircut and I wish it looked like Michelle Dockery’s hair, but…it doesn’t.
I love Vogue, but I fully appreciate that it can be absolutely ridiculous (case in point–the article I read at the gym this morning about food in Brooklyn that made me want to throw things it was SO condescending), so this piece at The Toast made me laugh.
Best of the Books:
I recently did an interview with Aimee Bender about her new story collection The Color Master. Read it in the Ploughshares Blog!
This dreamy photo essay at Rookie shows a woman’s experience living at Shakespeare & Co. for two months. Yes, living. Jealous.
Winnie the Pooh--genius at life.
105 years of Anne of Green Gables covers.
Check out these writers’ rooms.…they are breathtaking.
Have a wonderful weekend, all!
