Bootie Call

2013 September 30

It’s Fall again and when I’m not reading a book on the subway, I’m staring at women’s feet. Well, more accurately, at women’s boots. I love boots. They’re my favorite footwear. They’re comfortable, versatile, stylish, practical, and multi-functional. You can have boots for rain, boots for snow, boots for hiking. You can have over-the-knee boots, calf boots, heeled boots, and riding boots. You can have wedge boots and cowboy boots.

Personally, I have a pair of brown heeled boots, black heeled boots, flat brown Frye boots (favorites!), snow boots, flat brown lace-up combat boots, black heeled dressy ankle booties, and tan heeled ankle booties. But I want MORE. Namely, I want a good quality, comfortable pair of flat to mid-heel ankle booties that I can wear around the city without my feet protesting every step. Is that too much to ask? …Probably.

Here are a few of the candidates I’ve been pinning like crazy–some within the reach of my budget, and some only in my dreams. Which are your favorites?

Bandolino Banks Bootie: $79.95

Tory Burch Jess Bootie: $395

Diba Candy Bootie: $49.95

Sam Edelman Petty Bootie: $129.95

Kate Spade Rickee Bootie: $328

Indigo by Clark’s Spye Belle Ankle Boot: $130

DV by Dolce Vita Gino Boot: $128.95

I too am boot obsessed…I swear I buy a new pair every year. (Though I figure we can justify this given that we live in the Northeast and will be wearing said boots from now until…May.)
