Best of the Looks, Best of the Books 10/4/13
Important public service announcement–I kept the blazer AND the skirt! I don’t know if I misread the tag or what, but the skirt ended up being $20 less than I thought it was, so it made the decision to keep it much easier. I can’t wait to wear it out on the town. Thanks for all your feedback!
This weekend looks to be more perfect weather and we are seeing a good friend visiting from Boston tonight, then driving down to Frederick Maryland tomorrow morning to visit more friends and attend a dog-friendly beer festival at the Flying Dog Brewery and hang out around town. I’m excited to get out of the city for a couple of days–it’s been a little claustrophobic the last few weeks, despite the beautiful weather.
What do you have lined up for the weekend?
Best of the Looks:
I don’t know how she does it, but Bianca at Avant Blargh just consistently knocks it out of the park with her outfits.
A sweater with bison on it? Yes, please.
I am also really enjoying the windowpane print trend.
As usual, the Elie Saab Spring 2014 collection had me drooling.
Kendi’s fall wardrobe essentials.
Best of the Books:
A cool roundup of 25 indie presses.
Personal libraries to swoon over.
Hilarious list of 13 things to do with books beside ban them.
The trend of using books as a decorative element in interior design.
Editors–unsung heroes? (I like to think so).
Happy weekending, everyone!
