Status Update 11/15/13

2013 November 15
by Jill

I’ve been the worst with the blog recently. I’ll use NaNoWriMo as my excuse, but I’ve also not been the best with that either. (Current word count: 17, 126). But I have lots in store for this space when I get this novel thing finished and/or get some momentum back, including an interview with my good friend, blogger and independent bookstore manager, Llalan Fowler. I am also planning a return to my neglected Fashion Book series, book reviews, and a rumination on a literary event I attended this week.

I had a great trip to Boston last weekend and was reminded of all the good times I had when I lived there. I got to catch up with some good friends, walk around old haunts, eat at favorite cafes, and explore new sections of the city I’d never been to before (which is crazy, considering I lived there for four years). I’m already looking forward to my next trip up there!

I’m staying put in New York this weekend, but still have some fun plans, including drinks with the ladies, a date night, and…grocery shopping and getting my car inspected. Womp womp.

Since there isn’t any Best of the Looks, Best of the Books links today (no time!), I’m posting a few pictures of myself instead. Deal with it.

Actually, a reader commented last week and asked if I had any photos of me wearing the new Clark’s booties I bought, so I took some and here they are:

And the complete look:

I also participated in the #PhotoADoubleDay challenge this week. Here’s my literary outfit:

And that’s about it for my most narcissistic post ever!

Have a good weekend everyone!

Thanks Elsie! I was happy to be able to respond to your totally reasonable request. I highly recommend the boots–they’re SO comfortable on top of being cute! Thanks for reading. :)

I think I have the same striped skirt, or one that is nearly identical to it. (Was wearing it when you were here.) What a clever cover-and-outfit match!
