Best of the Looks, Best of the Books 4.18.14
I’ve got a busy weekend ahead of me with Easter and the Marathon on Monday. I’m looking forward to the bustle, though, and I’ve got my fingers crossed for some sun! Happy Easter to those of you who celebrate.
Best of the Looks:
One of the top items on my spring wish list is a pretty midi skirt. I love this one at District of Chic–ladylike and bold.
Not gonna lie–I’m tempted to buy a turban headband.
Out of Print has a new library line and this library card tote is pretty cute.
These ballet tees at J. Crew look perfect. I want one in every color.
A piece on the Rana Plaza collapse and the cost of fast fashion.
Best of the Books:
Super excited for Annie Cardi’s debut book, The Chance You Won’t Return, which is publishing next Tuesday! Way to go, Annie!
Boston is getting a really kick ass Edgar Allan Poe statue, you guys.
Loved this Ted Thompson story, “Mascots.”
If you haven’t already, you should take the “Which Poet Are You?” quiz at FSG. (I got Frederick Seidel).
And, of course, RIP Gabriel Garcia Marquez. May your soul find as much magic as you created for us in the real world.
